I found a place where I can get old Philips webtv keyboards for $1.50 each. I would like to build a very small keyboard for my i-opener by removing the keyboard from the transmitter and converting it to PS/2. Is this possible?
Has anyone done it before? Looks to be model KW1009-01.

RE:Philips webtv keyboard hack to PS/2? (modified 0 times)
Chances are realy good its a SERIAL interface. If this is the case, it would be about just as hard or even harder then the keyboard hack I'm trying to acomplish. Because its IRDA.
You could just use a pic 16f84 chip to decode the irda information and output ps/2 signal but the problem is all the sequences and converting them.
