Win95onIO
USBsupport

I have the Win95b OEM disc. I also have the USB support files for that
version of 95. My question is this, It seems that the USB supp. is for
USB expansion cards. Will it work on the IO which has USB on the board?
The only reason I am considering 95 is because I have read (here maybe?)
that it runs much faster on the IO. My intention is to have my IO's on a
LAN with W2K Pro as the server.

the usb files for win95b will work on built in or expansion usb cards. they allow Windows to use the usb hardware on the mobo or plug-in card.

you may still need to use the drivers that come with the device you intend to plug into the i-o's usb port.

because of bios constraints of the i-o, there is a limit on the size (time length)of usb
transfers on the i-o

see Georgie's usb fix & related discussions.

have fun
