just got an iOpener - have been searching the boards ever since - none of the suggestions for reaching a QNX prompt are working - BIOS chip appears to be free of epoxy - is there any way I can flash it without replacing the whole BIOS chip or hooking up a hard drive?Glenn Dixon

If you have another unit without epoxy on the BIOS, and which boots into DOS (either on the Sandisk or an IDE drive), you can certainly hot-swap the BIOS EPROM and flash it with AWDFLASH from the DOS command prompt. There's definitely some risk that you could hose the host I-Opener during the hot-swap, so unless you've done this before and are comfortable with PLCC extraction and insertion, it's *not* recommended.
Jack @ http://www.badflash.com is your best bet!
Great service and a nice guy! I also believe has latest bios rev. enhanced by Wild pencil.
I did my own using an ABIT BH-6 motherboard doing the "HOT SWAP" but it's the older version bios.
Caution, it's very EASY to screw up your PLCC chip and mobo doing the hot swap method!
