I have now tried two powered USB hubs on my i-opener. I have a LinkSys EtherFast USB ethernet adapter and a Compaq iPAQ USB cradle as my two devices. It seems only one can be active at one time. Sometimes at boot it's the luck of the draw which--but if I leave one unplugged and then plug in that one, the other one seems to "drop off" of the bus.
Tried this with TWO powered hubs. Is there an issue here? Running Win98. Thanks.

Join the club....You've got a buggy MVP4 VIA chipset, combined with a buggy I-Opener implementation of USB. Software patches to fix this problem are in the making...not there yet. If you can, try WinXP. This OS seems to have fixed all my USB problems....but only if you can find XP drivers for your external hardware.

Programmer, Wild Pencil, Georgie, and others have worked hard on this problem and deserve much credit. When I got XP running on one of my I-Openers, my USB problems were fixed without any patches.
