Badflash BIOS - no OS?

New MessageBadflash BIOS - no OS? (modified 0 times) webwide

Replaced BIOS w/ Badflash, I went in and modified the Chipset, BIOS and CMOS setups per Jack's instructions. On bootup it recognizes the SanDisk, but then dumps me to a screen with "ROM Upgrade [2001.06.27.01]" at the top and nothing else. That's all. NO OS, no prompt, no keystrokes seem to work except Ctrl-Alt-Del, which reboots and starts it all over again.

I'm just trying to gain access to the existing QNX prompt to manually change some things. No HDD at this time.

Help!

Check the BIOS settings.

If you're trying to boot from the Sandisk, you'll need to set the boot order to "D,A, SCSI" (or possibly "C,A, SCSI"). Some out-of-box IOpeners had this set to "C Only".

Alternatively, you can set the boot order to "SMARTBOOT", and select the Sandisk partition from within Smart Boot Manager. This is the same hidden menu you'd use to boot the IOpener from a CD-ROM if you have one connected.

uh, no, Jack sez the QNX OS is locked up on V4 and V5 IO's - so I gotta break out a hard drive. Oh well...
