Win98 Wont install
Help with new Iopener

I recently ordered the imod2 and a new bios chip from badflash.com,
When I boot to HD, and run the 98 setup I have copied on there, I get all sorts of errors.
If I go through smart boot, I get an error similar to: fault outside of MS-DOS extender.
If not, scandisk seems to corrupt the drive, find all sorts of errors and the install fails.

My 98 cd is fine and so is the HD.
I have tried both on a laptop w/o issue.
The system also seems to lockup at random, if left at the bios or boot screen for more than a few minutes.

Any help is appriciated.

Have you recently replaced the SODIMMS? That might be your issue.
