The soon as the kernel stats to load, IO reboots itself

Hey folks,
After getting the BadFlash BIOS, my IO booted my lap-top drive with RH7.2 right off the bat. However, I realized that my LTSP image was not complete, so I removed the drive, placed it in a PC, also running RH7.2, and copied a newer version of the image over. When I went to reboot the drive was forced checked and had many errors, too many too boot. So, I re-installed RH and now, the IO starts to boot, loads grub, and as soon as it starts to load the kernel, it reboots itself. Thinking it might be the drive, I used an adapter and tried the drive in my working RH7.2 PC, it did the same thing. Before I start re-installing, or buying new hard drives, etc...could I have fied my IO, am I dead in the water? Has anyone seen this problem?

thanks in advance
-LndRover
