Sorry for an off-topic question. I just down-loaded an important file with a .sit extension. I think this is a "stuffit" file. I downloaded the free Stuffit extraction program, but when I extract it, the thing turns into a zip file. If I extract that, it turns back into a .sit file. WTF...can someone point me to a program to deal with this .sit file?
are you trying to use .sit files on your pc? wake up! the mac files will not work and run in an intel pc i know stuffit were made for mac first and pc later but if the program that is inside the.sit file were made for intel ,itll run fine
ckbone, try simtel.net's msdos section. Lots of classic decompression utilities that should run fine in a Dos-Box under Windows. Here's one: http://www.simtel.net/pub/pd/47788.html
I haven't checked any of the Windows areas, since (IMHO) the quality of shareware/freeware for Windows can't hold a candle to the quality of shareware/freeware for msdos.
