sorry guys but ive looked allover for the sound drivers for the v5iop and no luck. im running ME and it only sees the sound device as unsupported. cna anyone help? ive tried others advice but no luck.

Okay, here goes! It took me a week to figure that same question out! So you get the benefit from my pain and agony! First, you have to have at least version 5 BIOS flashed, enable on-board sound. Next you have to download a driver 68mu120a (you can find the link on this BB)and install it on the IO HD.
This is the old driver set for VIA chipset.
You now have sound! Good Luck!
