Hello,
I have successfully installed and run Win98SE on my I-Opener. Now I am trying to get Linux to run. I installed Mandrake 8.2 using the 10GB Fuji drive hooked to another PC. When I switch the hard drive to the I-Opener, I get the following message upon booting past the Mandrake boot screen (windows worked perfectly):
"Error 6 mounting ext2 flags Freeing unused kernel memory: 260k freed
Kernel panic: No Init found. Try passing init= option to kernel."
I have put "hdb=noprobe" in both the lilo.conf and /boot/grub/menu.lst files but still hdb is getting probed. I believe Mandrake uses the graphical lilo boot loader but I would still think it has to use lilo.conf for its settings. Has anyone gotten Mandrake to boot correctly and how did you do it?
Thank-you in advance!
