Will we ever see an updated BIOS?

Months ago it was said there would be a new BIOS released that contained some or all of the useful hacks. Has that idea died along with this board?

New BIOS Released

Wild_Pencil writes "BIOS 5.40 is finally done! This version implements Georgie's latest USB-tweaks, as well as most of the other improvements (CD-Booting) I made in previous enhanced versions. (Three Cheers for Georgie! YAY! YAY! YAAAY!!!!) BADFLASH USERS: If you're using BadFlash V531C, and you need the special AMD K6 support it provides, please contact BadFlash directly for his upgrade. (I didn't write the K6 support code, and therefore I cannot support or include it.) The New Public BIOS is available at briefcase. http://www.yahoo.com/wild_pencil "

After a week in use I can say that this latest, and likely last, IOpener BIOS rocks. I was used to several USB related crashes per session but no longer. This is a true must have for any and all IO owners. Even MS's USB Internet Connection Sharing works now. Quite a time saver when you need to update Windows.

For the newbies:
The added features in this BIOS are not listed that I could find. Among them are boot from CDROM, delete key enables BIOS edit mode with the stock keyboard (!!) and of course the great USB fix.

Also, my K6 likes it just fine. Boots at 300MHZ without a burp.

Thanks to all who contributed to this hack.
