| Please verify that I am reading this correctly, you are going to boot up a PC with the same style BIOS chip, then flash it with the wild_pencil bios, shut the PC down. Then you are going to put that BIOS into the I-opener. If I read this correct, then none of this will be done HOT, all bios chip removal and install will be done with both MB's power off... If that is the case then this should work correctly. It would be the same effect as badflashing a BIOS with the incorrect xxx.BIN file. This should not damage either MB since the new flash will not take effect until reboot, and you are not planning on booting the MB again after the flash. I beleave the warnings were for HOT swapping the BIOS chips. | |
