Second USB port...

I'm trying to get my second USB to work and I'm having a terrible time getting my wireless USB card to work... When I connect the device to the original port it works fine... When I connect it to the second port the device gets detected but it shows up as an unknown device and no driver will work with it.

Then I installed a hub to the main port... the mouse works but when I plug in the USB device, it does the same as it did on second port. Then if I plugin and unplug a few times XP crashes and restarts. Is it a power issue? I'm lost.

And ideas?

Danny

I think the actual components you used were of worng values. Specifically the capacitors. I don't remeber the details, but the 2nd USB port was detected (apaered in device manager) yet nothing would work with it. And it acted really weird. The guy chahged the capacitors and it worked fine. Re-read all the threads. I can't make a link to it, since I'am writing from an IO. BUt on my real PC I did alot of reserach. Also check on the 0-ohn resistors issue, and the USB timings thing.

Thanks... I ordered the right caps... I was using the .1uf... when I needed .46uf... think that will fix it.
