I tried adding this chip for the cache ram, once. I think I put the cache tag chip on also. Never did investigate if anything else had to be done to the bios or any other resistors needed to be added. I know I have couple of cache ram chips and some of the cache tag chips somewhere. If anyone wants to give them a try, I will send a set to anyone who wants to try to get them to work, you will have to pay shipping.
I know there are at least 5 resisters and or caps that have to be added. and 256k is the max that can be added i believe. Basicly the way to tell is FIND a mother board that has the same VIA chipset and has cache memory. Get the same tag and cache chip put them on and hehe your good to go. oh ya plus resisters and caps. All resisters and caps should be right local to the processor/gpuhttp://members.panax.com/bachh/ My EZnet 200 tower, hacking page.
