The subject says it all, i have access to a null modem parallel cable, and i would like to get my v5 io to boot to dos. I can use as a client computers that have win95,win98,win2000,winxp, and the ones that might work muLinux and zipslack. anyone done this before, it is a stock v5 io with no changes at all.

Also a quick question, if the sandisk only has so many writes how did the qnx store the email and dialup info? maybe there is another solid state drive on it?

There is only one scandisk, it is like a solid state 16 meg hard drive and can be written mayby 10,000 times.

Unless you upgrade the bios, I don't think you will get anywhere. I've never seen anyone beat the V5 bios so far via the front door. There is a way to update it via CN12, but you need special codes and equipment.

The easiest way to boot to dos is to update the bios, add a hard drive and fdisk & format the sandisk. You can use PART.exe for that.
