Just got my iopener, i put in a new bios chip from badflash and if i unplug the iopener from power it looses all cmos settings. i have replaced the battery and it did not help. i think the cmos is not getting power from the battery.

does anyone know where the cmos is so i can test if it is receiving power?
does any one know how to fix this?

Any help will be appreciated.

thanks

Did you check the Cmos jumper position? S/B near the battery? I don't remember exactly where, I have not looked at an i-Opener mobo in over a year...

The problem turned out to be the IMOD2 mounting bracket shorting out the CMOS battery. This shouldn't happen, if the mounting screws are properly tightened and the nylon spacers are placed under the bracket. A little electrical tape over the battery won't hurt though.
