Starting just recently, the SanDisk won't show up on my IDE AutoDetection in my Wild Pencil bios. I have been writting to it and changing a lot on it recently. Could I have written too many times already and killed the SanDisk? I have tried with no other IDE devices and with Master devices. Anybody have any other ideas?
Thanks in advance.
What happens if you disconnect the cable from the motherboard and try to boot up?
It should detect the sandisk, then fail because it doesn't have a boot sector.
The sandisk should be good for around 100,000 cycles, so I don't think it is worn out. I have seen cases where people don't tighten down the mount properly and short out stuff.
