I gather that there is no audio-out jack on the iopener. I want to add one of these jacks, if possible. If someone could help me out on this, I'd appreciate it very much.

Just an FYI. My IO has been catching dust for the last few years until this past week when I FINALLY mounted it in my truck. Last year I purchased a USB soundcard sold by Telex (very good name in commerical audio products) for $15. I actually purchased it via www.gateway.com (yeah - the cow computers) believe it or not! Sounds like a million dollars. Also - for juice, I purchased one for like $10 plus shipping (look at the link near the bottom). It looks like its el-cheapo taiwanese crap but its working great. Not bad at all. I had to purchase a $15 ground loop noise filter from RadioShack to filter out loud annoying alternator noise (its a loud constant hiss with a RPM corresponding whine). It sounds like a million dollars now.

Note - careful bidding on these. This guy advertises them for different brands of laptops but they are all the same. Some go for 9 bux and other auctions end at $40!

Um... For audio out I just soldered extra wires to the speakers and stuck the wires out the back of the case. My intent is to just put a headphone plug on the end or an RCA plug on each wire and put them in whatever I want the sound to come out of. Or in the car just take one of those cassette adapters for a cd player and hang it off the wires coming from the IO so you can just put it into the car cassette player. FWIW
