Yes, I know. Another turning off the backlight thread. But mine is a little different.

I've read through the posts here, and have successfully modified the BIOS entries to turn the backlight off after a certain period of time. However, here's what I want to do.

I use my I-Opener as a digital picture frame/caller-id box in my bedroom, and I would like to turn off the screen like between the hours of Midnight - 6:00am (so I can get some sleep!). I've tried several turn-off-the-screen screensaver programs, and haven't found one yet that will blank the screen. Is there a difinitive answer on this issue - turning off the backlight via software?

I am running 98SE and have "(none)" selected has my screensaver.

Also on the advanced power settings...I have turn off monitor and a time with it.

Are you running the video drivers shown on this site?

I'm running the Trident Cyberblade i7 (47) driver, look like version 6.50.5495-19f.47iCD (good grief!)

My monitor is currently the Plug-N-Play monitor type.
