They made the IOPENER

Got this from a fellow who, due to the problems in signing up new members, could not post:

I found the web site for Quanta, the people who manufactured the
IOpener for Netpliance. The main page however doesn't go
anywhere:
http://www.quanta.com.tw or http://www.quantatw.com

However, I did find an internal page, and it just happens to have
links to a bunch of their patents.
http://www.quantatw.com/Product2/eyearp32.htm
Looking through the patent records may reveal some IOpener
specific information. One I noticed from 1999 is patent TW-65662
(taiwanese patent I assume) for a "LCD personal computer" which
seems like a likely candidate to take a look at. I know US patents
are available online but I am not sure about Taiwanese patents.

Perhaps you could post that information on the IOpener board in the
technical section so someone may benefit from it since I still can't
get it to deliver the password confirmation email to me, no matter
what address I try.
