I lost all the screws to my IO (except the paralel port screws). Where can I buy them?

patcat88: Many hobby shops carry small screws in small quantities. This is probably your best bet. Another source is a good old fashioned hardware store. However, I'm not sure if these stores exist anymore. It seems like they have all been "Ace-ified" into uselessness. There are also industrial supply places that will likely sell the screws by the hundreds. I recall that there was a thread some time ago where they might have been organizing a group buy. They talked about one place in particular that stocked them. Try searching the i-Opener area of the BBS for "screws". I would also check with BadFlash since he always seems to have a lot of i-Opener related stuff. HTH.

Electronics run on smoke, if you let the smoke out they won't work

If you're in the Bay Area, Excess Solutions on Brokaw in San Jose (near Frys') has stocks of virtually every small screw used in industrial electronics, in both metric and US sizes. I was easily able to get replacement screws with standard Torx and Philips heads for the IO. Take your original screws as sample. Prices range from 2c to 10c each, depending on size and specialty. They sell in any quantity down to 1 piece.

Disclaimer: no connection to Excess Solutions, except as a satisfied customer. I'm no longer in the Bay Area, so all that I said pertains to about a year ago. I hope they're still around.

Been a VERY long time since I touched my i-Openers,

If I remember correctly 2.5mm x 8mm is the the size?

As mentioned by Glitch a local hobby shop should have what you need.

If you live near Seattle, Radar electric had quite the assortment of surplus hardware last time I was there, including the screws you need.

Also Tacoma screw.
