The volume control on my I-Opener is broken, so I have no sound. I need to replace the slider pot. Does anyone have a source for a replacement, or does anyone have a trashed I-Opener that would like to sell me the little circuit board strip at the bottom of the LCD panel?

Sounds like someone should start an IO junk yard.
Buy fried IO's and sell the parts from them. We
know we can't get the parts from Netpliance

I've got another I-Opener that's still in the box. The one with the broken slider pot is a demo unit with the old BIOS and no epoxy. The one in the box most likely has epoxy (I haven't even broken the seal). I could just get the little board from it and save the rest for spare parts.

but why when you can replace that 10cent slider pot and have two of those little buggers :)

I don't know the spec for the pot or where to get one with the same form factor.
