*.raw files and codec for windows media player

The subject pretty much says it all. Which codec is needed to play *.raw files with Windows Media Player. Or is there another Windows program I can download to play *.raw files? Please post a URL if you know it.

Well, problem is, that you gotta know what the file format is -- is it MPEG? PCM? etc. because well, .raw probably means "raw"...

This is the raw format of the TiVo tystream; the TiVo hardware knows what to do with it.

You'd have to make a modified "ExtractStream" that took input from the raw file rather than the tyStream.
