Tivo, without service (modified 0 times) redwood Profile ok, I fumbled onto a site once, that claimed to be able to _fix the tivo, so no nag screeens, without monthly service... lost it, but, I wonder, does anybody here know how to do this? since the Other tivo boards are kinda sensitive to talking about it, perhaps, someone here has done it? RE:Tivo, without service (modified 0 times) technut Profile | Email this is not going to be easy, but i ran across some hard ware that is an adapter pci to a cable than to an other pci slot or slots from there you need to connect a single board computer that will interface between the tivo and your newly connected computer, its like what they do to run windows in a unix or ibm main frame they install a single board computer in a slot run windows or what ever else and have a direct interface. the tivo m.b. has a pci male slot your'll need the adapter (see mycableshop.com) and then you'll need a single board computer with a pci slot, plus alot of luck and linux programing skills have fun!! 09-28-2004 11:09:19
