Joe-ProCooling,

Did you find any local places that sell parts for the mod? I'm particularly looking for the 2.5" IDE cable and the 2.5" - 3.5" IDE converter.

I'm probably going to run a 3.5" IDE in an external case. (Plug the converter straight into the header on the I-Opener, and then make an IDE male to femal cable out to my 3.5".

Can you get DOS going on your I-Opener? Would you be willing to reflash my bios? (I'll pay/trade something for it.)

email me at mikewgordon@yahoo.com

Lets work out a get-together to mod all of our machines. If we can get one person in the area with a good flash, we can reflash all of our units. Maybe we can work out a group buy of the other parts (cables, drives, adapters, etc.)
then we can all work out a linux or Windows load with the right drivers etc.

I'm on the east side of Madison and I could arrange a public meeting place for such an event. But, depending on who's interested, Milwaukee might be more centrally located.

Im in De Pere WI, the CC here called me last night to pick up mine, im quite happy :)
There was quite a bit of epoxy but a hair drier and an xacto knife did the trick.

Im waiting on BadFlash for my flashed BIOS to arrive, should be here early this week. I also ordered a D-Link USB-Ether card, i plan to put debian on this baby and leave it next to my stereo.. itll feed mp3's from my file server to the stereo :)

Im also looking for a cable and some way to attach the HD to it, thinking i might have to go with velcro...

If you live nearby and want to get in touch or need to be flashed im sure i could give a hand when my new one comes in...
