I just got my v2 working with netscape lastnight. I'm currently running jailbait v5 and have a HD & cable on the way.

Feel free to contact me: piggymouse@hotmail.com

There is also a Kentucky Hick Hacker thread with at least one other person from Louisville.

How did you manage to get a websurfer out of compusa? I tried before noon on 4/27 and was turned away and told that they wouldn't sell it to me for the price on the web page cause their computer said $200 and their cost was more the $50 :(

the day codeman posted the info, i went to compusa. i asked them about the thing, and the guy didn't know what i was talking about. he looked it up on his computer, it said they had 7, but the price was $199. i told him about the website, he looked it up, confirmed it, and went to the back to get the 2 i asked for. he then called over a manager. the guy said the website was a pricing error, and i couldn't have them for $49. i argued, and he got another manager. they came back and told me i could have them. i walked to the counter, and just as i was pulling out my wallet, another guy came over with the TOS. he told the whole story about the rebate, etc. to me and about 5 people, including 2 managers. he gave me the TOS to sign, and i refused. we stood there looking at each other for about 5 minutes, then the cashier girl went to see if the website said anything about the TOS. it didn't. another manager came out and said "Give it to him." i walked out the door with 2 websurfers for $49 a piece. i assumes i would be the only one in louisville. they seemed pretty upset about giving them to me.
