I'm in Boulder also. I've done 5 I-openers, one with a built-in
USB Ethernet adaptor (D-link). Haven't done any of the newer ones
that don't have the Yamaha sound chip though.
I have access to an EMP-10 flash programmer, reprogramming the IO's
flash for version 1.0 has not been a problem. JB Saunders near
Valmont and Foothills has the parts for making the IDE cable. Two
connectors and the cable is about $7.
I also have one of the 2.5 inch to 3 inch adapter cards for formatting
and loading the 2.5 inch HD on a desktop machine.
PS - Yes, you can by the "new" IOs at Circuit City. They probably will not
have the Yamaha sound chip and run about $300, so Ebay might be better for
getting one.
