USB Ethernet and Timeouts
Power Mgmt/Windows

New MessageUSB Ethernet and Timeouts (modified 0 times) roper
I'm new to client-side configuration of Windows-Terminal Server and I discovered something about USB and TCP/IP connections I wanted to share.

I would allow my I-Opener to idle and the power mgmt would put it to sleep (That's okay - what its supposed to do). Then, I would wake it up with a mouse movement only to discover that my session was terminated. I thought, at first, it was something with the Windows-Terminal Client configuration, but have discovered that connectivitym in general, did not work.

I brought up the USB/Ethernet device driver and discovered that APM would, be default, power down the device. I'm pretty sure this is why I lost the connection. There is a check-box to disable this 'feature' - I am testing it now but am confident that is what the problem is.
