| I just dropped an AMD K6-2+ into my V5, set the voltage, ordered the r302 and cooling resistors from BADFLASH, then came back to the boards to find that link again for K6CLK - no dice, the link was dead, so I did a web search through GOOGLE (also tried yahoo and MSN) - lots of messages about it, nothing found, same on AMD's website. I decided to at least give it a shot, see what H ODA's WCPUID reported the chip as, and it worked perfectly, identified it, gave me all the info I needed, then I noticed under the "tweaks" menu at the top, there was an option to set AMD K6-2/III PLUS multipliers - I tried it, it worked, then set it back and shut down so as not to cook my q16 (waiting fot the resistor to come in next week!) and decided I ought to share this new info with anyone who may be having the same problems I was in finding K6CLK. The URL for his site, btw, is:

Internet explorer asks to install language components if you don't have them, but the site is in english, so no problems here. Well, guess that's about it! Happy i-hacking! | |
