Ok.... I found out my hard drive didnt even go over a half of a gig so i ordered one over e-bay. 5 gig(yay) after recieving it after a long 2 weeks for delivery. i find out it was smaller too(yay). My Problem is that the cord i got with the kit i got from badflash has a big end on one side and thin side that goes to the 44 pin ide pins on the i-opener(pics in link below). Well i found out that the space on the new hard drive is smaller, only room enough for one 44pin female end so the connector will not fit. i have tried flipping it over and turning the cable around and putting the big end on the board but it still dont work. maybe something to do with how the pins flip when you go from the board to the hard drive i dunno. i probabally need to find an extender of some type that is 44pin male to 44pin female and ill be set. if anyone has any suggestions it might help before i think of CUTTING the extra plastic off the top of the connector. heres a link to a picture of it. http://www.geocities.com/windpunk/IopenerProblem.html Im sorry if i cant explain the pieces enough. its just complicated and confusing.
