I hit a local computer show to find the rest of the pieces for my modifications and I
lucked out! I found a fan that works very well in the i-o.
It's a 5V fan built into a very low-profile heatsink (7mm). You mount it to the CPU
with thermal tape. The specs on the fan:

I have some photos that I'll try to get up someplace soon.
In any event, I ran my i-o for a while yesterday completely re-assembled with this fan
and a Fred M style bracket (with some modifications to the installation method) with a
Toshiba 1 gig disk.. Seems to keep the CPU plenty cool, and it does not contact the RF
shield. I can't say it's _quiet_, but it's not that bad.
It doesn't seem to have as much surface area as the Lasagna, but it keeps my CPU fairly
cool (stock WinChip 200).
