| A little background: I'm adapting the Webplayer into a wall frame, and I'd like to relocate the IR receiver. The problem that I've run into is that looking at the back of the motherboard, with the IR receiver at the top, there's a capacitor connecting the left two pins, and a small wire running from those pins to a resistor at RN9 (about an inch directly below the IR pins). My main question is whether this is supposed to be like this (doubtful, but I've seen similar work in thin clients), or if this is something the previous owner did, maybe scratched a trace on the board and did a quick fix. Would it be possible for somebody to check out their board, and maybe snap a close-up of the area for me to compare with? I'd appreciate any help possible on this. | |
