I'm confused about what I'm supposed to use/do so that I can power the webplayer in my car. Can someone please tell me the least expensive way or the simplest way of doing it? Am I correct in guessing i'd be needing to find a power supply of some sort that has 5VAC @ 5A with and 50+ watts? I'm not exactly eletrically-savvy, but I do know people who are, if I do NEED to go that route. So please help me out. :\

You would probably need one of these to get the webplayer to work.

12VDC TO 110VAC TRAVEL INVERTER

The virgin needs 5V/5A/25W. I would advise going the DC to DC route - not the DC to AC to DC route.

Is the DC-DC adapter the only thing I would need? Because I am about to get my hands on an already modded webplayer, but it doesn't come with a power adapter of any kind. So I was trying to find out the most direct way of hooking it up to the car. I tried looking around the net for a car power adapter (the ones that plug right into the cigarette lighter), but none of them provide 5v/5a/25w. What do you guys think?

The cheapers and best way is building your own step-down converter

The only expensive part you need to do this is a 5A Step-Down, PWM, Switch-Mode DC-DC Regulators
Free Sample avaliable here http://www.maxim-ic.com/quick_view2.cfm/qv_pk/1269
and the rest get it at R Shark for pennies.
For a operating circuit look at the datasheet and do the math

That's it. Price about 5 Bucks
