I just for about the hundredth time thought I had killed my Virgin. I accidentally plugged in the infrared keyboard/mouse microcontroller in the wrong way and turned my virgin on. It wouldn't post - and I smelled a bad burning smell. I pulled the plug after leaving it on for about 20-30 seconds. I felt the top of the microcontroller and it was red hot. The paper label on it had turned brown and black from the heat. I used a little "French" (if you know what I mean) - and then pulled out the AVR and plugged it back in the correct way. I turned the virgin on - and everything still worked perfectly. I should also add that I've shorted out various leads on the virgin while it was running - which always caused it to crash - and it still works perfectly. Man this thing rocks. Hopefully (as soon as those max235 samples arrive) - I'll be close enough to finishing that I will be able to post some rather shibby pics.

Free as in really free, to a good home please. Complete Webplayer that I disassembled at some point. I think all the parts there, worked last time I used it. Never modified (a virgin so to speak). Since no forsale posts are allowed I am not charging ANYTHING, I'll even ship it for free.

I'm the original owner, via the original Virgin offer. I think it's cute, I wish I had the time to do something fun with it but I have too much "stuff" cluttering up the house and it's time to get rid of some of it.
