There's very little information on this board regqarding HomePNA also known as HPNA information with webplayers. HPNA is networking through the phoneline. Users have stated that the Diamond HPNA ver.1.0 USB adapter works fine with webplayers. My network is setup with HomePNA ver 2.0 which has a 10mb transfer rate opposed to older HomePNA ver 1.0 which is 1mb. Version 1.0 and 2.0 adapters can work together but if a 1.0 adapter is added to 2.0 network, the transfer rate on the 2.0 adapters will drop down to about 3mb. There's a handful of companies that manufacture HomePNA 2.0 adapters via USB and mini-pci. I know that the Gateway touchpad uses a HPNA ver2.0 mini-pci adapter but I don't know if thats the correct form factor for the webplayer. I would like feedback from anyone that has tried out any HPNA ver 2.0 adapters with the webplayer.
