Using LCD as monitor--please help

Good afternoon,

I've just aquired a Webplayer with no keyboard, and in an unknown condition. I've been looking for a small LCD monitor, but with no money havn't been able to buy one...until someone gave my this WP for free.

What should happen after the WP is turned on? All I get is a flashing Mail LED, and an alternating color power LED. Is the keyboard needed to activate it?

Basically, I'd like to use the WP as a monitor. However, obviously the LCD does not take composite of S-video, but is driven by its two custom controllers. Has anyone tried to hack a WP to use as an LCD monitor?

I searched the archives with no results..._Any _ help or comments would really be appreciated!

Thanks,
Paul

See this thread under general news. Refers to I-Opener, but applies equally to WP. http://www.linux-hacker.net/cgi-bin/UltraBoard/UltraBoard.pl?Action=ShowPost&Board=whatever&Post=2278&Idle=0&Sort=0&Order=Descend&Page=0&Session=
