Hacking a new homepage

I have successfully hacked my webplayer and am using an alternate ISP. I went back in tonight and tried to find out where it is getting the homepage from. I changed every URL that I could locate, but it still goes straight to the virgin webpage. Is it hidden somewhere? Need help on this one.

Were you able to use another ISP just by changing the setup or did you install new hardware? If you were able to do it by getting past the rotating passwords and simply changing the software, you are my hero, and could you post a step by step description of how you did it so that the technically challenged people like myself can also change to a new ISP before we are unable to use our webplayers.

...well said. Plenty of pat on the backs going on out there, but not a lot of actual help.

Hello Jusahakin,

Please help us! You too can be our hero! Obviously, if you are unwillingly returning to Virginmega.com, you are not booting off of your own Hard Drive and browser.

Please follow the purpose of this BBS and post actual detailed help, not just status information.

Technologically Impaired,

Quagmire

It was easy to change. All though I didn't write it down, I just found any instance of username and pass and changed it. I also configured the Primary and Secondary DNS under network settings, but I was unable to change the homepage.

You can get to the network settings after the cycling passwords (that screen comes up from ctl-f1 after bootup - or ctl-music on the webplayer keyboard) I was able to dial to my ISP but had problems with the password. I must have one of the settings wrong. Back to finding a correct password to a key...
