Where's the DOC (driver)?

Help!

I've gone thru the BBS posts about the DOC and still have problems. (Most of the relevent links are dead!)

I can't get the DOC on my Webplayer to be recognized by Win98SE (as a drive...D or anything else). I've downloaded the DOS tools & "driver" from M-Systems. I put the so-called driver: DOC2TFFS.COM into \C: and into the autoexec.bat file as

DOC2TFFS.COM /drive=d

On startup I get the message: "TrueFFS Installed", followed immediately by an error message saying the drive value is bad. (Other drive values don't even get the "TrueFFS installed".)

Once, when I accidently had CONFIG.SYS set up a RAMDRIVE, I got the message saying "TrueFFS Installed" and the the message that the DOC was installed as drive D. But of course that was really the RAMDRIVE, and drive D was corrupt.

Does this mean I should be using some *.sys driver in CONFIG.SYS for the DOC? If so, where can I find it?

I REALLY want to run Win98SE from the DOC...once I find it! I want a low power PC (no HD) to run off a car lighter.

Sounds liek the DOC is bad.

Try installing the DOC in a network card in your PC using teh instructions in the post below.
Then you can flash an image and get it to boot in the Webplayer.
You dont need to use any drivers in DOs modesince the DOC has a Bios rom extension that emulates a disk drive in DOS.

Vincent is right, you should not need any drivers in the CONFIG.SYS or AUTOEXEC.BAT file to be able to access the DOC disk.

But on your DOC2TFFS.COM line, did you try adding the ":" to the drive (as in /drive=d: )? Just curious...
