Motherboard need to be grounded? (No video showing)
Looking for what I can do without the ground plate

So I've got a WP, but I don't have its case.

As in, I've got the motherboard, LCD, keyboard, and power supply.
When I turn it on, the screen backlight is working, but there's nothing displayed. After trolling the board here for a while, I'm thinking that it's because the motherboard isn't grounding (due to the lack of grounding clips on the lack of ground plate since it's not in the case).

Is this the explanation for the lack of video?

And if so, what's a reasonable solution?
