I recently have ordered a WebPlayer through eBay. Does anyone know of a work around to hooking in an ethernet connection. If anyone has any ideas or comments please post. It will be much appreciated.

You can use a USB ethernet adaptor.

You'll need to add a HD and install an OS capable of using USB (windows or linux).

Have fun!

Sir,

I've connected my webplayer to my @home cable modem.

I basically, installed a HD and loaded Win98SE. And because I don't need the modem, I removed it from the motherboard.

I attached an USB Ethernet adapter to one of the USB port on the player. And bang, I'm surfing at the speed of light.

Here's the info on my USB Ethernet adapter:

SMC EZ Connect USB
Fast Ethernet Adapter
Model: 2202USB/ETH
http://www.smc.com/smc/common/prodDesc.cfm?prod_code=EZNET-USB10/100

I hope that helps

Also-

Do you have any good links where all of this information is compiled on one page. i.e.: Hard drives that work, mounting brackets, cables, and steps to do everything. I have a good technical knowledge.. I just need a walkthrough.

Thanks for the help
