I guess we'd need more info to make an educated guess. What mods have you made to it so far?

Hi DoS4WhO,
Thanks for replying! I've done nothing to it so far. I plug the unit in and all I get is the initial page with the logo on it, it usually precedes the log in page. Thanks in advance for any help!

Well, that happened to me after i ripped out my DOC and tried to boot it up on its own. It is not loading any system software and just freezes when it doesn't find an OS. That logo screen is in the ROM and always shows up during boot.

From what GVONK says it sounds like there could be a problem with the DiskOnChip. I suppose you probably haven't changed any bios settings so that it's trying to boot from some other device so I'm thinking maybe the DOC is actually damaged. What are you're plans for using your Webplayer? Were you thinking of installing a hard drive? I would recommend that you look into it. Because even if the DOC is completely hosed the webplayer might still work great booting from a HDD. Also it may be that the DOC's hardware is fine but somehow the software stored on it has been corrupted in which case once you have a harddrive hooked up you could replace the original (corrupted) software from the DOC with either someone elses backup of the original software or with some new software (like Famewolf's embeddedWIN98 image that's so highly touted in this forum right now.
So, let us know what you want the webplayer to do for you and maybe a quick description of how and when the problem started would be good to.
Also there are lots of people here who are more knowledgeable than I am about this, so if someone has a simpler answer to this problem you should look into that too.
