I recently bought a 10 gig laptop HD, and the cable that larwe.com said I needed. My question is this. How would I put the laptop harddrive into my desktop computer so I can load up all the files? Do I need any special cables to use a laptop harddrive, or do I just plug it in like a regular harddrive?

A laptop uses a 44 pin cable whereas a desktop uses a 40 pin cable. The extra pins are for power. You need a 44 pin to 40 pin converter. Compgeeks has them for $3.95.
The adress is http://www.compgeeks.com/products.asp?cat=HDD
Don't forget to make the drive active useing fdisk.
