I am trying to create a site as a hub of hackable computing, with a focus on next years tivo's, iopeners and webplayers etc... I am recieving 3 webplayers through the coop and will post full details of the hacks that follow. In the meantime, I would like to see what other people have done with their i-openers and webplayers. the funkier or freakier the mod the better.

the site is http://www.ghettohardware.com so you can check out my i-opener hack. I would like to maintain a list of other hacks and photos because I think sharing our ideas with pictures and descriptions is a great way to come up with even clever'er hacks. IF you dont have sopace to post your pics ont he web you can send them to me to post.

Sincerely,
pshlortz

I know I was at this website a few days ago. Maybe the server is just down right now.

His site has been down the last couple days.. I have yet to get onto it. I am always interested in hardware hacking sites. Being a "Hardware Hacker" at heart, I decided to try to form a community of like minded people, to form a site where people can talk about anything from hacking webplayers to hacking cuecats or furbies... I also hope to offer a service similar to "Geocities" or "Xoom" where users can have a small site dedicated to their hack of choice. A place to post info and pictures of their hacks.

If you would like to help out, or would just like to help spread the word, the site is listed in my signature. The bigger the community grows the better it will be for the community as a whole.

Well, I did a little more work on my site... Digital Demise and I just added the ability to upload images of your hacks to the forum with your posts! :)

Now I just need to find a basic CGI script that will allow users to have their own small site on Digital Demise to show off all of their hacks, then I can modify it to be exactly the way I want it.

Also, I am still looking for forum moderators and a graphic artist to do a couple logos.

(Also, when GettoHardware.com is up, make sure to post it here again so we can check out that site as well.. the more websites dedicated to hardware hacks, the better!)
