I've got a webplayer on the way (got it for 35 bucks + shipping barely used from someone who apparently didn't know what it was worth) and I've been reading every bit of info I can get my hands on before it arrives.
Is it possible to have both a 2.5" hard drive AND the DOC working at the same time? I assume it is, so if it is, why not make the DOC virtual memory. In the control panel under performance you can specify your own virtual memory file size AND location so, for example, if the 2.5" drive was running windows and was bootable, and the DOC was drive d:, your settings would be:
size=48Mb (I think that's the size of the DOC)
location=d:\
Because the DOC is closer in speed to RAM than it is to a hard disk, this would be like having an additional 48MB of RAM.
The only drawback would be you CANNOT specify two virtual memory files, so this limits your windows memory to your SODIMM module + the size of the DOC installed.
Any thoughts?
