Thanks for making it so simple, Randy; I am a total novice and your instructions still worked. The dialup networking codes for the variety of MSN that I'm using are 6.00.0010.0900. A person can verify these by logging into MSN and telling it to take you to a nonexistent web page, then clicking on the message that says "there's no such page, do you want to check your Internet settings," and then it will put on the screen a whole "System Configuration Summary" that includes the dialup networking codes. A couple of other things may be helpful to mention for other novices like me. Once I had gotten into the PPP File Settings panel, I wasn't completely sure whether to replace fields like the "login" and "pap_user_name" field, which already read "userVC/MYVIRGINNAMENAME@virginconnect.com" with "MSN/MYLOGINNAME" or just "MYLOGINNAME." I opted to put "MSN/MYLOGINNAME" in cases where there was a VC at the beginning, and just "MYLOGINNAME" if the original setting didn't have a VC, and that worked fine. This is so cool, thanks Randy.

I must be missing someting. I have just received a web player and followed Randy's instructions to connect to MSN. I got the DNS from microsoft and can successfully log in. After loging in all I get is a blank screen with the mouse pointer. How do I get to a web browser? Have I messed someting up?
