Trouble with Joliet naming and Large Disk Access

Anyone else experiencing difficulty using drives bigger than 2 gig in the WP? I can read and write to mine (a 4 gig) but the properties show 2gig free with nothing used. And when I attempt to copy files over to the drive, the long filenames get truncated... very strange, because I can access long filenames on a usb drive hooked to the WP.... i am using famewolf's embed98.img, and probably going to try the new hacked.exe posted recently. Is there some windows setting I need to change in order to get it to a) recognize the 4 gig and b) use long filenames? I have fdisked it and said yes to the large disk access question. Any thoughts appreciated.

Do you know what versions of Fdisk and Format you have? Perhaps they aren't up-to-date. A Win 95 copy might recognize a 2+ Gig Drive, but not know exactly how to deal with it. Just a thought.

Quick note...
This is/was a known problem with earlier versions of '95. It could use all of the HD space, but would only report the disk as being 2GB. This was fixed in the last two or three releases of 95 and in 98. Since 98lite/98micro uses some files from 95 to remove IE integration, this problem will be carried over unless the correct/newest versions of those files are used. There are lots of posts on this topic in the forum over at the 98lite website. (98lite.net) It's a minor inconvenience, and all of the disk is usable, so I wouldn't really worry about it. If it bothers you too much, you could always get a copy of the 98lite/micro install program, and a copy of the 95 files, and re-install it yourself....

Thanks :) I knew I was on the right track, but your post was much more informative than mine. :)

Thanks for the help! I take it that is why the file names are truncated, too. I am going over to their website (win98lite) to check it out...
