Oh yeah! Christmas morning, about 15 minutes ago(1:23am) I just won a killer 9.5mm IBM 6.4GB Travelstar drive for 40.00!! Thanks to Buy it now. Here are a few tips for finding just the right drive on eBay:

1) Search section: computers/laptops/drives
2) Select with a checkmark "Search only in Laptop Accessories : Drives" AND "Search titles and descriptions"
3) Try different combos. (i.e. Laptop[X], Laptop[X] HDD, Laptop[X] Drive{Where [X]= Notebook, try both names}).
4) Buy It Now -- Very cool feature for getting the upper hand in the auction.
5) Good times with + -- Great to find auctions with crappier worded titles. (i.e. 9.5mm +drive, 11mm +IBM, etc.)
6) Don't bother checking the "Ending Today" catagory, I'm yet to find a deal on a laptop drive.
7) Check auction that are new -- Buy It Now = Great deals.
8) The best times I have found for getting High Ticket items is at 11:00pm - 3:30.
9) As I see it, the trend tends to be, the larger the GB the thinner the drive. I have seen this is Fujitsu, Toshiba, and Hitachi.
10) IBM has been a good choice for thinner laptop drives with small capacities.

Please add any to this Thread for others. Thanks

That's the same thing I found in getting a Belkin USB Direct Connect Adapter. I have no idea if it'll work, but $16.98 + $9.00 S&H as an eBay "Buy It Now" purchase is acceptable to me although I have yet to test the USB device with the webplayer. I would rather get it now when I see bids in the $15 range (plus the $9 S&H) and not knowing how much it will get inflated later on in a day or so. I put in an order for a harddrive like yours that is half the size at cablesonline.com but paid a little more than what you're paying. So it sounds like you got a real bargain.
