A really simple way to load files onto your Webplayer. All you need to do it download the Zip100 drivers to your Desktop PC, then e-mail the drivers to your email account.. Use your webplayer to download the the file.. Plug in the ZipDrive to the back of your Webplayer and run the driver file from your webplayer. Bingo.. All done.. If you don't have a zip drive and you DO have a USB digital film reader, this will work too. You can use your digital film for ANY type of file. If you've got a usb reader and a 16mb card, then it's like having a 16mb zip disk and drive. lots of people have these and don't know they can be used for data other than photos. just a babbling thought (it's how I got all the drivers on to my webplayer before my usb e-net adapter arrived) -Rich 12-29-2000 21:01:14

Specifically will the later Iomega Zip drives that are powered out of the USB work with the Web Player or should you stick with an older model with a separate transformer/power supply? There is a 110K download self install from the Iomega site -- just need the driver for Windows 98 not all the extra back up software etc. I copied the file across to the DOC when I programmed it on my websurfer, but you could also email/download it. Question on the compact flash idea -- that is a great idea; I have a Sandisk reader. I wonder if windows has support built in which would mean I could avoid download drivers for my network card etc. 05-20-2001 09:37:16
