Does anyone know what the biggest SODIMM chip that can be put in the Webplayer is??? 128?

I tried a SODIMM 256 pc100 chip in my webplayer and it didn't work. Would not boot for me.
I'm runnly Windows 98 Second Edition On A Laptop Drive.
