I have a 9.5mm 10Gb Toshiba laptop drive loaded with Windows 98SE. I have a 44 to 40 pin connector and this drive boots as a master drive on my PC. When I connect the drive up to the webplayer it does not boot. In the BIOS it does not even recognize that I have a primary IDE drive. In the BIOS I have disabled the "Silent Boot" and have set the "IDE Bus" as the primary I/O device. I have win95 selected as the operating system and DOS is selected in another box.
I have played around with other settings, but nothing seems to work. I set the hard drive to be selected first on the boot sequence. I always get dumped into the Virgin Webplayer internet connection screen. My problem still lies in that it doesn't even see a hard drive there.
I've tried following instructions from other posts.....is there something I'm neglecting to do?......any suggestions for me?
Appreciate any help.
